She has had a wide ranging career spanning the contralto, mezzo soprano, and soprano repertoire. As a soprano, she received critical acclaim from the New York Times as Anaide to Jerome Hines’ MOSE IN EGITTO in Alice Tully Hall , Lincoln Center and then won the coveted role of Magda Sorel in Gian Carlo Menotti’s THE CONSUL with the Washington Opera at the Kennedy Center under Menotti’s direction, in celebration of the works 50th anniversary. She sang the complex role of Rolf Liebermann’s MEDEA at the Bern Theater directed by Daniel Klajner and was engaged by James Conlon for the same role at the Paris Opera Bastille. Ms. Porackova sang the directorial debut of Katharina Wagner’s Senta in DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER with the Würzburg Theater. She also was acclaimed as Gerhilde in DIE WALKÜRE with the Berlin Philharmonic at the Aix en Provence and Easter Salzburg Festivals and Berlin Concert Series under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle.
She has also performed internationally as a invited guest artist with the prestigious Beaulieu Abbey (UK); Paris International Conservatory; Tel Aviv Diaspora Museum, Israel; Gerlesborgsskolen, Sweden Recital Concert Series,. She sang Isolde in TRISTAN UND ISOLDE with Grand Theatre de Tours (France) under the direction of Jean Yves Ossonce; TURANDOT with the Klagenfurt Theater (Austria) directed by Henrik Nanassi; Leonora in IL TROVATORE with the Hong Kong Opera directed by David Stern. She has also sung the title roles of NORMA and AIDA with Francisco Noya leading the Boston Bel Canto Opera. Other title roles include SALOME, TOSCA, RUSALKA and LA WALLY. She has also sung Santuzza in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA; Amelia in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA; Lady Macbeth in MACBETH; Georgetta in IL TABARRO and Abigaille in NABUCCO. She has been engaged as a performer and cover with the Seattle, Miami, Connecticut, Baltimore, Fort Pierce, Anchorage, Grant Street(NY), Boston Lyric, Boston Academy of Music, Boston Concert Operas and Opera Boston. As a Mezzo she sang Komponist in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS with the Opera East Festival (Canada). She has also performed concerts with Masterworks Chorale; Chorus Pro Musica; Ars Musica Chorale( NY); Harvard Radcliffe Chorale; Boston Civic; Plymouth; Longwood; MIT; Salem and the Cambridge Symphonies, and Symphony Pro Musica. She has sung the soprano and alto solos in the Verdi REQUIEM and alto solo in the Mozart REQUIEM, Mahler’s RESURRECTION and Beethoven Ninth Symphonies, and Handel’s MESSIAH. She has also sung Strauss’ VIER LETZTE LIEDER; Wagner’s WESENDONK LIEDER and IMMOLATION SCENE in concert. She has been an invited guest soloist with the Boston, Chicago and New York Wagner Societies and has been heard in broadcasts on Swiss National Radio, Good Morning America, WGBH, BBC, and ARTE and on the Bel Air Classiques DVD of DIE WALKÜRE with Berlin Philharmonic, and on Americus Records Russian Masters Series CD with the acclaimed pianist Dag Achatz. In 2016 she sang Fricka in Wagner’s Abridged RING with the Lexington and Nashua Symphonies, directed by Jonathan Mcphee and a mezzo soprano solo in Tippett's A CHILD OF OUR TIME with the Cambridge Symphony conducted by Cynthia Woods. In 2016, she sang Mahler SONGS OF THE WAYFARER with the New Philharmonia Orchestra. In 2017, Ms Porackova sang a solo recital SONGS PAST AND PRESENT (Songsby Mahler, Warren, Brody, and Wagner) with the Boston Wagner Society.
In 2018 she sang Mezzo solo in Mendelssohn‘s MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM with the Cambridge Symphony; the alto solo in Haydn‘s HARMONIEMESSE with the Fine Arts Chorale (Richard Travers, conductor) and soloist in an “Afternoon with the Boston Wagner Society”. In 2019 she sang a Schumann and Russian Song Recital at Chaminade Concerts; Mezzo solo in the Beethoven Ninth Symphony with the Cambridge Symphony and Italian Opera Concert with Boston Bel Canto Opera. In 2021 Ms. Porackova sang Rosina in THE BARBER OF SEVILLE with the Boston Bel Canto Opera. In 2022 she sang the alto solo in Mozart’s REQUIEM with the Fine Arts Chorale and Waltraute with the Berlin Wagner Group’s USA inaugural concert, WAGNER’S RING IN ONE EVENING. In 2023 she sang alto solo in a Bach Cantata Program with the Newton Community Chorus, the solo in Respighi’s IL TRAMONTO to critical acclaim with the Fenimore Chamber Orchestra(NY) conducted by Maciej Zoltowski and a concert of Rossini’s TANCREDI excerpts with the Boston Bel Canto Opera. In 2024 she will sing an all Wagner Program with the Berlin Wagner Group and is an invited soloist at the Boston Czech-Slovak Association Gala.
